 My wish is to leave to the next generation a world as full of potential and pure as possible to the next generation while participating to the economic growth. Our laboratory performs research and education related to high-temperature structural system, mainly for the development and commercialization of new energy plants.
 Our philosophy is first to understand the fundamentals of complex systems to be able to systemize and organized the knowledge found to improve safety and reliability of designs.
Research
 Energy plant are complex structural systems with high temperature fluid and structure interaction through heat exchange. In order to understand the mechanisms leading to the destruction of the structural component and to insure safety and soundness, we conducted studies with a combination of experiments and numerical simulations.
  We also contribute to the development of standards rules. Our research aims at the development of practical strength and response models by extracting dominant factor through the understanding of the system and the different phenomenon observed. By applying this method to entire plant components, we proposed the design by analysis method for structural design of plants and reactors.
 Furthermore, in order to improve the safety and reliability of energy plants, we developed innovative evaluation method considering uncertainty of strength and load parameters to improve the verification of inspection evaluation accuracy.
From experience of working with students in laboratory we learned that no special knowledge of nuclear engineering is required. Therefore, students from wide range of specialties like nuclear, mechanical, electrical, physical, and chemical engineering are welcome to join our laboratory.

Education
 By targeting complex system in our education and research, we want to develop in our student the skill to understand the big picture from the overview various technologies and phenomenon.
 To obtain this skill, the main topics studied are material mechanics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer engineering.
We also cherish universality and opening and we always encourage and support our student to look in other topics and to come up with innovative views and ideas.
 Thanks this education philosophy, our student are involved in many research in industry projects. From these experiences, they learn how to identify the needs of industrial projects and to organize an adapted response and also to work with international experts.
We prepare our student to contribute finding solutions to the huge change needs that society will face.
